Preetham Gubbi and Duniya Vijay joined hands for the first time for the quirky and fun Johnny Mera Naam. This time around, they are back with the second film in the franchise. Does it work? Hardly, as the gags and sequences seem like a series of jokes strung together, with hardly a strong story backing them.
The film has absurd jokes and characters that sometimes fail to elicit the required laughs. The film follows the life of how everyone’s favourite Johnny finally fall in love, but has a tough battle ahead of him when he’s trying to ensure he woos her enough to choose him as her partner and forget the dream that she has nourished and cherished all her life.
