Judaai (1997)
Judaai was a blockbuster Bollywood film which was the swan-song of actress Sridevi, who left the industry to marry the film’s producer Boney Kapoor.Judaai was all respects a perfect Hindi commercial film that has a message-based story, great music, dancing, comedy and drama to make it an amazing entertainer.
When Kajal (Sridevi) marries Raaj (Anil Kapoor), an Engineer by profession, she and her dad (Kader Khan), automatically assume that he is rich and wealthy.But that is not the case.This infuriates Kajal, and in her mind creates a separate wealthy comfotable world.Even with birth of two children, and several years of marriage, does not change Kajal.This leads Kajal, divorces Raaj & gets a reluctant Raaj & Jahnvi(Urmilla Matondkar) married when Jahnvi offers a large sum of money in exchange of Raaj.
After a while, Kajal realises how far she has drifted from her family & tries to make amnends.When nothing works, she makes Jahnvi leave.Raaz, who is officially married to Jahnvi leaves with her too, saying that it is only fair.The kids want to stay with Jahnvi & they too tag along.Later Jahnvi plans to go back to New York.Kajal on the other hand, disraught by her family abandoning her, donates all the riches, in order to pay her dues.
When she learns that Raaj & the kids are leaving for the US, runs to the airport. She finds them lot, ready to depart.But in a last minute twist, Jahnvi tells them that she is leaving alone, but she is not literally alone, she is expecting Raaj’s child.So, the movie ends with Kajal getting her family back.
