Hindi Medium (2017) *HQ*
A couple from Chandni Chowk aspire to give their daughter the best education and thus be a part of and accepted by the elite of Delhi. It is written by Zeenat Lakhani and directed by Saket Chaudhary. The film features Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Salt Mango Tree, which in turn is a remake of the Bengali film Ramdhanu.
The film highlights the ordeal of parents who want to get admission of their children in best schools in metropolitan cities. And is also an eye opener for those who think that English language is the only key to success.
The film goes on to highlight other aspects of society like how a poor man and his child are imbibed within themselves the feeling of “sharing is caring” whereas for rich kids it is only a concept which needs to be taught to show sympathy on poor.
The film ends with a beautiful message that the main purpose of education is to make good human beings.
