Pasand Apni Apni (1983)
Basu Chatterjee’s charming 1983 romantic comedy stars Rati Agnihotri as the star of a theater company, and Mithun Chakraborty as a local industrialist who runs into her by chance one day. When baseless rumors spread that the two are an item, the theater company’s director decides to use the gossip as a publicity tool, leading to a string of misunderstandings, confusion, and eventually–of course–true love.
