Hey Sinamika (2022)
Hey! Sinamika is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written by Madhan Karky and directed by Brinda in her directorial debut. The title of the film was taken from a song in O Kadhal Kanmani.
Yaazhan (Dulquer Salmaan) and Mouna (Aditi Rao Hydari) fall head over heels in love with each other and they get married soon after. After two years of marital life, Mouna becomes annoyed by Yaazhan’s overly affectionate and talkative nature. She decides to separate from him to live a life of her own and on her own terms. Into Yaazhan’s life enters Dr. Malarvizhi (Kajal Aggarwal), who strikes a good rapport with him and the two hit it off. The close bond of Yaazhan and Malarvizhi angers Mouna, who wants her husband back, just as he was when they first met.
However, Malarvizhi begins to fall in love with Yaazhan, and although he is unaware at first, he begins to fall in love with her too. Mouna schemes to separate them, but Yaazhan finds out and is angered, telling her that she gave up on him and doesn’t deserve his love anymore. She leaves, heartbroken.
Although Malarvizhi is happy at first, as Yaazhan reciprocates her love, she begins to realise that he might miss Mouna. She tells him to go back and get his wife, and the film ends with Yaazhan and Mouna reuniting, while there is a scene with Malarvizhi wiping her tears with a smile on her face.
